The process can vary based on factors such as size, clay type, and whether glazing is involved. Your initial masterpiece will take shape within the first two hours of your pottery lesson. Afterward, it needs around a week to dry (timing depends on weather conditions) and undergoes a Bisque firing, which hardens it without full setting. You'll return to the studio to decorate (glaze) your creation, and it will be placed in the kiln within a few days, depending on kiln scheduling. Once fired, your pride and joy can be collected to proudly display at home. If you opt not to glaze, the piece will move directly to High Fire and will be ready in approximately a week to 10 days..
Yes, you can. While it's not our primary recommendation, we understand that our range might not cover all available clays and glazes. We encourage your creative exploration with different materials and welcome you to share your discoveries with us. However, it's crucial that you show us the clay and/or glaze for us to register as a glaze being used in the studio before you use it in our studio. This step is essential to ensure we can effectively fire and process it for you. It also helps maintain the safety of everyone's work by preventing potential kiln accidents.
Yes! Please speak to us about the process and costs.
